I was on the road to Damascus (well the M40 to London) a few years ago and decided that corporate life was not for me any more.
So I retrained as a Remedial and Sports Massage therapist where I could put my problem-
As well as the physical benefits of massage I soon found that just listening to my clients was an important part of the treatment. Often the tight and knotted muscles were directly related to emotional issues. I felt very privileged that people were able to share their issues with me and that I could help them in a small way. I had a little experience of counselling from some voluntary work I had done in the past, but I realised I needed to know more.
And so I decided to train as a Hypnotherapist.
Now my aim is to help people to help themselves in the most appropriate way. Through massage, Reiki, hypnotherapy or just listening.
I know from personal experience that change is possible if we can just learn to let go.
